Welcome from the Vicar

Welcome to St. Dubricius, Whitchurch where people have been worshipping for centuries. When I came to the parish as the new Vicar, I was immediately struck by the strong spiritual presence in this church and its beautiful setting a few yards from the River Wye. Even when the church is empty, the warm and peaceful atmosphere seeps into people who come to visit.

This is not just an historic building. It has a vibrant community which looks with enthusiasm to the future. We are planning to reconfigure the church so that it becomes a more useful focus for the community. We have strong connections with the local primary school for whom St. Dubricius is their spiritual home. The local hotels and holiday attractions also support the church activities.

This spiritual centre welcomes all who visit it and embraces them as part of the ongoing life of the community. And we hope to include you in that embrace.
