RUNNERS UP:

Dear Lord, You have helped many people, you have given us food, drink and shelter. But there are still jobs that we must do to help other people in the world just like us that don't have food and drink, that don't have shelter when bad weather attacks.

So please help guide us in the right direction as we go to church today. Amen.

By Olivia Mace.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the wonderful and lovely food which you give to the poor and most unfortunate people which don't have many things as we do. Also we would like to say thank you for the fantastic community and environment at Whitchurch; the lovely children who enjoy going to school and love making new friends and adults which spend their Sundays going to church and spending time with God. Amen

Community: The Bible, and the New Testament in particular, have many teachings on the importance of community. By studying two simple phrases that appear time and again in the New Testament, we can learn of the requirements and beauty of true Christian community. The phrases “each other” and “one another” speak to relationships. They do not address a relationship to God or a relationship to oneself. Neither do they speak to a relationship with the universal church. Rather, they address interpersonal relationships within a community of believers. The teachings can be divided into four categories. They are Unity, Hospitality, Devotion and Edification.

World: Jesus tells us that it would be easier for us to enter Heaven if we have no money!

Family: 'Suffer little children to come unto me' as Jesus knew that the family was the most important aspect of our lives.

Bereavement: Jesus tells us that he has gone ahead to make room for us in His Father's Mansion.

Illness: We bring comfort to people who are suffering by reminding them that Jesus cured the lame, helped the blind to see, and helped those thought to be dead to recover.
